University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin (WSEI) is a non-state higher education institution, funded in 2001. WSEI offers full university degree programmes in a range of academic disciplines. With over 6 000 students (of which approx. 80 % extramural learners), is a nationally recognized university, demonstrating a commitment to engage in partnerships with EU organizations and institutions to support education, training and research.

According to national ranking “Perspectives” 2017- WSEI is located on 1st place of non public universities in Region and 18th on general national list. From 6 years WSEI regularly receives certificate “The School of Leaders” issued by The Foundation of High Education Development.

WSEI offers a distinctive educational experience, through a range of vocationally related courses / undergraduate, graduate & postgraduate courses, incl. economics, management, computer science, supported by a strong research and knowledge transfer activities (Centre for Information Technology and Transport Safety).

All programs offered by WSEI are accredited by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and qualified for relevant grants. WSEI has also introduced the ECTS points system to apply the EU standards in terms of recognition of our diploma internationally. Lately, WSEI is also implementing a modular system of teaching at nearly all fields of studies.

The educational offer of University is constantly modified to match up the demands of the labor market, which is expressed by creating new programs and specialties. The high level of educational process is maintained by almost 400 diligently selected didactic staff with proper academic degrees and necessary academic experience. WSEI also posses excellent didactic facilities (11 laboratories, e.g. modern audio-visual and multimedia labs) to support teaching and learning experience and build bridges between education, business and industry.

The University maintains close co-operation with many education institutions across Europe, adopting an increasingly international outlook, and is committed to maintaining a high level of research arising from scientific programs along with the development of the collaborative links with industry, commerce and also R&D sector on an international level.

The Project Team at WSEI has an extensive experience in preparing applications, implementing and coordinating projects, which have been selected for funding under the range of EU initiatives. We focus on building bridges between business and academic sector, creating links between work and education through introducing new innovative methods and tools to academic curricula.

Research in the University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin is supported by the Centre for Projects and International Cooperation as well as Finance Department, which are both experienced in assisting with the budgetary and management of EU founded projects. In the field of the EU funded projects we have an experience with Erasmus (studies, work placements, intensive programmes, multilateral projects), LDV (VETPRO, TOI) and other initiatives on national and international level. We have also acted as experts for other EU projects.

The Aspire-igen group is the largest vocational and training organisation in the Yorkshire region (an area with a population of over 5 million). The group is a not-for-profit social enterprise with 22 years’ experience of supporting young people into employment. Levels of social deprivation in Yorkshire are among the worst in the UK, with widespread pockets of exclusion and unemployment.

The group supports social inclusion and regeneration by providing a range of guidance and training services. This includes delivering vocational training programmes for NEET young people to prepare them for entry into the labour market and offer advice in 28 schools in the region. We are a recognised centre of excellence for professional development and provide training for careers and guidance professionals.

Aspire-igen employs over 150 permanent staff across the region. These staff members help the organisation engage with over 3,000 NEET young people through our vocationaltraining courses, deliver around 36,500 guidance sessions to adults and work with over 10,000 young people via other skills and guidance events (school careers fairs etc.).

Through its Aspire-international department’s involvement in Euroguidance, Aspire-igen has been the European resource centre for the UK guidance community since 1992. We are a source of information on education and guidance in other European countries, and work closely with other services in the UK, such as Europass, Eurodesk and EURES, to support individuals looking to make the most of work or study opportunities abroad. We support British advisors in their work with new arrivals to the country, promoting long term integration and social inclusion of migrants. We also organise and host study visits and job shadowing for colleagues across Europe to share best practices, particularly within the field of digital advancements and the value new technology can add to careers guidance and VET.

The Aspire-igen group places a great deal of importance on monitoring the quality standards of all training and guidance programmes delivered both internally and externally. We were rated as Good in our last Ofsted (the National Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) inspection and are accredited by both the Matrix quality standard and Investors in People.

One of our core strengths is our ability to carefully plan, implement, execute and evaluate projects in various contexts. The management team is supported by 10 members of the board and advisory board, who are all international veterans in education, business, research, and evaluation. CARDET currently employees 50 full-time and part-time staff and collaborates with 100s of decidated volunteers. The majority of the team members hold graduate degrees (Masters and/or PhD) in areas of education, research methodology, social sciences, business, instructional design, web development, and evaluation.
CARDET is a formal member of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, which brings together Member States, companies, social partners, non-profit organisations and education providers, who take action to tackle the lack of digital skills in Europe.
